My World gives you a personal, editable copy of a study room's world β the exact same entities, timeline, and graph, rendered with the room's own tools. As the owner of your copy you have full control: reorder events, add your own suspects and theories, even break things. Nothing you do ever touches the main room, and you can drop your copy and start over whenever you like.

Every study room has a canonical worldβ a shared set of characters, places, timeline events, objects, and context entries controlled by the room's owner and moderators. It's the βofficialβ knowledge graph every member can see, and the room's AI uses it to answer questions.
My World is your personal copy of that world. When you create one, the platform makes a complete snapshot of the canonical world β every entity, every relation, every timeline scenario and graph layout β and gives it to you in your own private room. Because your copy is a room, it uses the exact same world interface: the same Overview / Relations / Graph / Timeline menu, the same entity pages, the same timeline swim lane. It looks and feels just like the main world β because it literally is the same software.
As a room owner or moderator, you control who can create a My World in your room. The feature is disabled by default β you must explicitly enable it.
/study-rooms/[your-room]/settings/world.A member's My World is a copy, not a view of your canonical world. That means they can freely edit, reorder, and delete entities in their own copy β none of it affects your room's official world. This is by design: My World is a safe sandbox for experimentation. Nothing a member does in their copy can pollute the canonical world, so you never need to worry about moderation from personal copies.
Once enabled, members will see a π§ My Worldlink in the room's Bookshelf dropdown navigation, and on the World page itself. Encourage adoption by:
If the room owner has enabled My World, you can create your own private copy in a few clicks.
Your My World copy is yours. You are its owner, which means you have full control over it:
Your copy is a snapshot. If the room's canonical world changes after you create your copy, a banner on your world shows βsnapshot from [date]β so you always know you're looking at a point-in-time copy, not the live world.
Finished (or want to start completely over)? Click π Delete My World in the banner. Your copy is removed and you can create a new one from the current world any time.
Your My World is a real room, so you get the room's complete world toolkit. The menu bar at the top of your world switches between the same sections you'd find in the main room:
A dashboard of everything in your world β entity counts, recent items, and quick links to each entity type.
Browse and edit the typed connections between entities (suspects, visited, owned by, witnessed, β¦).
A visual map of your world. Drag nodes, rearrange the layout, and see your theory take shape.
List view with drag-to-reorder, plus the swim-lane view that groups events by character or place and can highlight scheduling conflicts.
Your copy uses the same five entity types as the canonical world:
People, suspects, witnesses, family members. The central actors in your world.
Locations, crime scenes, destinations, addresses. Where things happen.
Events, dates, sequences. What happened and when.
Evidence, weapons, heirlooms, documents. Physical items of significance.
Rules, hypotheses, constraints. The framework for your investigation.
Because your copy is a real world, you get the room's theory tooling too:
My World uses the platform's usage-based billing. Creating a copy is metered, but every plan includes some free creates each cycle:
| Plan | Free creates / cycle |
|---|---|
| Reader / Reader Plus | 0 (pay per create) |
| Creator | 1 |
| Creator Pro | 3 |
| Enterprise | 5 |
Let's walk through a realistic scenario: you're a member of a mystery room investigating the murder of restaurant owner Carlo Bianchi. The room's canonical world has a full set of entities β suspects, witnesses, timeline events, evidence. But you have a hunch that the room's primary theory is wrong. You think Serena Voss, the business partner, is being overlooked.
Open the room's π§ My World link and click π Create my World. The platform copies the room's entire canonical world β every suspect, witness, event, and relation β into your private room.
You land on your own world overview, with the exact same menu bar as the main room. The banner at the top reminds you this is your copy, snapshotted today, and that changes here never touch the main room.
Days later, the room adds a new witness to the canonical world. Your copy doesn't have them yet β and the banner now tells you the main world has changed since your snapshot.
Your My World now contains your own version of the case: a reordered timeline, a named scenario (βThe Partner Did Itβ), annotated entities with honest confidence levels, and a graph laid out to tell your story.
And here's the key: none of this is visible to other room members, and none of it changed the canonical world. When you're ready to share your theory in the room's chat, you can β and you can keep iterating in your private copy for as long as you like.
The room owner has not enabled My World, or your role does not meet the access threshold. Ask the room owner to check the My World Accesssetting at the room's World settings page.
You've used your plan's free creates for this cycle, and your credit balance is below the create cost. Top up through the billing dashboard and try again β or wait for next cycle's allowance.
That's expected β your copy is a snapshot from when you created it. Use β» Re-copy from main world to pull in the latest canonical world (this replaces your copy, so re-apply any changes you care about).
The main room's world has been disabled or the room removed. Your copy stays intact and usable β you just can't re-copy while the source is gone.
Not yet. My World is private to you for now; sharing and publishing are on the roadmap. In the meantime, present your findings in the room's chat.
